Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) is proud to be part of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, a 24/7 national network providing free, confidential support to individuals in emotional distress or suicidal crisis. We have a new opening for a Crisis Hotline Specialist—a vital role in helping people during their most vulnerable moments.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or master’s level candidates seeking hands-on experience in mental health and crisis intervention.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, nursing, education, or related fields
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role (with or without accommodation)
Your Role
- Answer incoming 988 Lifeline and Lenape Crisis Hotline calls
- Assess caller safety, treatment needs, and referral options
- Use crisis intervention skills to engage and support callers
- Coordinate warm hand-offs to crisis workers or emergency services
- Serve as a resource for hospitals and community providers
- Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly
