Oral Surgery Assistant

Bala Institute of Oral Surgery, located in the beautiful Main Line area of Bala Cynwyd, is seeking an energetic and experienced individual to join our dynamic team as an Oral Surgery Assistant (part time or full time). Must be x-ray certified or plan on getting x-ray certified. Full time positions include full time benefits such as PTO, 401K and medical/dental benefits.

As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you'll play a vital role in our practice, assisting with various surgical procedures, interacting with patients, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

· Assisting the oral surgeon during procedures
· Pass needed/requested equipment to surgeon during surgeries
· Monitor patient vital signs during oral surgeries and alert surgeon to potential problems
· Preparing treatment rooms and instruments
· Taking patient X-rays and 3D scans
· Providing exceptional patient care and support
· Utilizing computer systems and technology efficiently
· Performing administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments
· Preparing patient charts, recording surgical reports and updating records
· Sterilizing surgical instruments and infection control
· Prepare operating rooms prior to surgeries by disinfecting surfaces & gathering supplies

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
