Outdoor Program Instructor

South Mountain YMCA Camps is hiring Outdoor Center Program Instructors for our 2026 season. Program instructors will facilitate and lead classes that focus on team building, environmental education, and outdoor skills in the spring and the fall. During the summer months there is an opportunity to become a program leader with our day and overnight programs. Additional responsibilities involve curriculum development, conducting evening programs, assisting with facilities and ground maintenance, and housekeeping. 

A bachelor's degree in environmental education, natural sciences, biology, outdoor education, or related fields is preferred but not required. Applicants must be 21+ to apply. If you have a genuine interest working with students, adults, families and community partners, have an energetic personality, well-developed communication skills, enjoy working outside and are creative, flexible, and enthusiastic to lead programming independently.
