Daycare Substitute Aide (Afternoons/Evenings)
In the absence of a team member, works with the classroom team by creating a caring and safe environment for the children and assists in all learning activities to facilitate the overall care and quality of education. The Substitute must communicate effectively, actively listen, and work well with others in different settings in order to relay appropriate information accordingly. Under the direction of the Lead Teacher, the Substitute sustains day-to-day responsibilities related to the learning environment including personal care routines, health and safety practices, and supervision of children.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Experience
1 Year experience in a center-based preschool or infant/toddler setting (Preferred)
1 Year experience in child related care (Preferred)
General Experience and demonstrated understanding and facilitation of Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) in all areas of work (Preferred)
License/Certifications
Required within 90 days of hire: Pediatric First Aid CPR and Mandated Reporter Training. Mandated Reporter Training to be maintained every 5 years. Fire Safety Training required within a year of hire. Other: 15 hours of PQAS training or course work in Early Childhood Education within one year of hire (Required)
