Maintenance Foreman
This role focuses on guiding inmate work crews and assisting with maintenance and skilled trades tasks that support daily operations of the institution. Your work helps keep the facility functional and maintained. As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will perform the following duties:
- Crew Supervision: Oversee inmate work crews performing maintenance, repair, construction, and janitorial tasks
- Work Planning: Plan daily schedules, assign tasks, and inspect completed work assignments
- Equipment Instruction: Teach proper operation and preventative maintenance of machinery and vehicles
- Skilled Assistance: Perform or assist with semi-skilled and skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and welding
- Tool Control: Issue, track, and inventory tools and materials while conducting searches to ensure accountability
