About the Opportunity

Pharmacy is changing, and there's a lot more to the industry than traditional retail and hospital settings.

At Chemistry Rx, we're offering pharmacy students the opportunity to get hands-on experience in pharmacy fulfillment, an area that's becoming an increasingly important part of how pharmacies operate.

This rotation gives students a chance to see what happens behind the scenes at a high-volume specialty and compounding pharmacy, from the moment a prescription comes in until it reaches the patient.

You'll spend time with our pharmacists and operations teams, learn how the different parts of the pharmacy work together, and see firsthand how technology, efficiency, and patient safety all play a role in getting medications out the door.

Our goal is to give students exposure to a side of pharmacy they may not have experienced before and introduce them to career opportunities they might not have considered.

What You'll Learn

Throughout the rotation, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Experience pharmacy fulfillment firsthand. Follow the prescription process from intake and verification through fulfillment and shipping.
• Work with experienced pharmacists. Learn how pharmacists manage daily operations, make decisions, and ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
• Explore pharmacy technology. See how pharmacy systems, automation, and technology are used to improve workflows and support growing prescription volumes.
• Learn what goes into running a pharmacy. Get exposure to the operational side of the business, including staffing, workflow management, and day-to-day challenges.
• Understand quality and compliance. Learn about the processes in place to maintain accuracy, meet regulatory requirements, and protect patients.
• See how improvements happen. Get involved in discussions around workflow challenges, problem-solving, and opportunities to make processes more efficient.
• Explore different career paths. Learn about opportunities in pharmacy operations, specialty pharmacy, fulfillment, and leadership.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for students who are:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program.
• Interested in learning about different areas of pharmacy.
• Curious about pharmacy operations, technology, and how the industry is evolving.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to jump in and learn.
• Comfortable asking questions and working with different teams.

No previous pharmacy experience is needed. We're happy to teach you! All we ask is that you come ready to learn, ask questions, and make the most of the experience.
